The Basics on PhiPhi

Koh Phi Phi has cliffs, caves, beaches, jungles, fishes, sands, viewpoints, fireshows, and even a kick boxing gym.  Koh phiphi was struck by a Tsunami at 10:45 am December 26th 2004.  Thousands died and much of the infustructure was damaged.  The Thai goverment was quick to see a rapid recovery to business as normal.  By 2006 all services and resorts had been rebuilt (mostly).

Koh Phi Consists of two islands - Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Lei.  Phi Phi Lei is a National park. You can not sleep there and must pay a boat captain to reach it.   There is a national park entrance fee for Phi Phi Lei.  You can fly to phi phi in a sea plane from phuket.

There are no 'cheap beachfront bungalows' on Phi Phi.
